Introducing The Meeting Place, a source for mental health support.

Our approach

We are devoted to providing quality care through individual and group experiences. We assist by providing therapy, information, compassion, and genuine acceptance of you and where you are in your thinking/doing. Group sizes are small to insure everyone is heard. We offer a range of self expression opportunities ranging from intense focus groups to movement and music options. Find your space, fit in, belong.

Currently Offered at The Meeting Place

  • Man Stuff: Dad, Lover, Hero....

This focus group is designed to look at the myriad of things men are “supposed to be”, such as a great dad, a super lover, tough yet in touch with emotions, a leader, anticipate a partner’s needs without being told, remember things, and listening to a partner without “fixing” it for them. We talk about anger, suppressed feelings, step-parenting, shame, self-doubt….. the list goes on, and the group goes where the members take it. We meet the fourth Monday evening of every month at 7pm. Fee is $20/meeting. Click here to register.

  • Adult Survivors of Sexual Abuse

The prime objective of this small group is to create a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse to take measured, thoughtful, and meaningful steps toward claiming their sense of Self. It is a place to sit quietly, help each other with ideas for rebuilding their self esteem, and feel the care of others who intimately understand where they have been . Integrity and confidentiality will be stressed at each meeting. Pre-registration is a must as seating is limited to six people. Monday 3/25, 4/22, and 5/20 at 5:30 to 6:30pm.

  • Education

  • Tackling Autism: a support group for parents

Bring your questions, experiences, needs, and strengths to an open forum for parents or guardians blessed with kids on the spectrum. We will look at resources, school issues, and possible behavior modification techniques, as well as share laughs, stories, fears, tears, and hopes around our lives with our children. Seating is limited. Reserve your spot at 9:30am on the first Saturday of each month. Fee is $15/person. Facilitators have combined 30 years experience in the field. Click here to register.
